58. Big Updates to the Female Founders Accelerator (and How Theyโll Help You Grow Your Clinic Faster)
Jul 08, 2026Starting or growing your own clinic is exciting, but it can also feel like a lot.
You’re putting yourself out there, stepping outside the “rules” of corporate medicine, and figuring out how to bring the right patients through the door. And when you’re doing it alone, every decision can feel heavier than it needs to.
That’s why I created the Female Founders Accelerator (FFA) alongside my colleague, Dr. Matthea Rentea. After wrapping up our first cohort, we took time to evaluate what worked, what we learned, and what needed to evolve (just like we teach our clients to do in their own businesses).
In this post, I’m sharing the biggest lessons from our first cohort, the changes we’re making for cohort two, and how our updated structure is designed to give female physician founders more flexibility, support, and focused momentum as they build thriving practices on their own terms.
Lessons from our first cohort
Our first cohort ran for 10 months, and the results were phenomenal. We saw deep relationships form, real transformation happen, and nearly every member chose to continue with us. That kind of retention told us a lot: the program was working, the community mattered, and the support was creating meaningful results.
But part of running a business is being willing to look honestly at what’s working and what could work even better. We teach our clients to evaluate their results, make decisions from the data, and pivot when needed, so we did the same.
Here’s what we noticed:
- A 10-month commitment is a long time.
The length gave us time to go deep, but energy naturally ebbs and flows across a year. Holidays, summer schedules, family responsibilities, and busy clinical seasons all affected momentum. We realized that a shorter, more focused structure would make it easier for members to stay engaged and re-enter the work with fresh energy. - One-on-one sessions weren’t always being used consistently.
Members had access to individual support, but many saved those sessions until later in the program. What we saw was that the sessions were most powerful when they were used throughout the experience to drive decisions, create clarity, and keep momentum going. That helped us rethink how to make this support more intentional and impactful. - Retreat timing was tricky.
There was a lot of excitement around the retreats, but travel is not always simple. Between clinic schedules, family life, and other commitments, not everyone could easily say yes. And nobody should feel FOMO over something designed to support them. We wanted to keep the value of in-person connection while making it more flexible and realistic.
What's changing for cohort two
- Two shorter cohorts instead of one long program. We're splitting the year into a fall cohort and a spring cohort. It's more flexible, easier to commit to, and the natural break invites everyone to re-engage with fresh energy.
- Upgraded, optional two-on-one sessions. Our most powerful sessions were the ones where both of us worked with a client together: two perspectives, one shared goal, instant decisions. For cohort two, these become optional 90-minute deep work sessions you can add on, giving you both coaches at the table without the delay of handoffs.
- Flexible, opt-in retreats. Retreats aren't going anywhere. We're just separating them from the core program. So whatever season of life you're in, you can join when the timing works for you. Even better, they'll be open to others outside the program too.
Introducing the Fill Your Clinic Bootcamp
The biggest challenge we see, again and again, is getting patient numbers up quickly. So we're kicking off the fall cohort with something brand new: a three-day intensive bootcamp covering the seven proven strategies we use to help physicians consistently attract the right patients.
Over two hours a day for three days, you'll learn how to:
- Build a reliable patient pipeline
- Show up online as a trusted authority (without feeling like you have to be everywhere)
- Create referral and networking systems that actually drive growth
You'll walk away with a clear, actionable blueprint and if you can't attend live, you'll get full access to the recordings and workbook. Best of all, the Fill Your Clinic Bootcamp is open to everyone, whether you join FFA or not.
What's staying (because it works)
Some things aren't changing, because they're the heart of the program:
- Two group calls each month, which include a mix of workshops and group coaching. These calls are where so much of the transformation happens. Members get direct support, real-time feedback, and the benefit of hearing how other women are navigating similar challenges. It’s like having a built-in focus group, strategy circle, and support system all in one.
- The WhatsApp group, which has become one of our favorite parts of FFA. It’s where members share wins, ask questions, brainstorm ideas, and cheer each other on in the messy middle. When you’re building something hard, that kind of day-to-day connection matters.
- The bonus resources that help members stay supported between calls: complimentary access to the Clinician Social Media Accelerator, the Physician Course Blueprint, the Female Founders Planner, and Friday Focus Club, our weekly body-doubling hour for finally getting through the tasks you’ve been putting off.
Ready to build the practice of your dreams?
Being in community changes everything. When you're surrounded by women doing the same hard things, you take bigger leaps, learn faster, and let setbacks go more quickly.
So ask yourself: who do you need to be to bring in the right patients and run the business of your dreams?
The fall 2026 cohort kicks off in September, with the Fill Your Clinic Bootcamp in August. Apply here to see if FFA is the right fit for you, or learn more about the bootcamp here.
